Industry Machinery Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Senior Director and Senior Counsel for M&A. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated corporate attorney with a strong background in leading and evolving legal functions and processes. This role is pivotal in increasing the levels of professionalism, automation, efficiency, and excellence within the legal team. Key responsibilities include leading the legal function, managing a small legal team, and overseeing outside counsel. The role also involves partnering with the business on M&A activities, negotiating complex commercial contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Applicants for this position should have a JD from a top-tier law school, with a preference for those with a combination of big law and in-house experience. A minimum of 6 years' experience is required, with a focus on commercial contracts in the industrial manufacturing space. Experience in M&A, particularly in due diligence, and a background in intellectual property, trade secrets, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance are also essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of academic and professional achievement, be adept at managing legal matters for an international organization, and have a strong understanding of executive compensation and labor and employment issues in an international business context.
