About the Position

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery / Mother Baby

Location:  Great Barrington, Massachusetts

Start Date:  07-06-2026

Contract Type:  Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour Night shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed, every other weekend, holidays as needed, on-call required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby units
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to ensure safe and personalized deliveries
• Monitor fetal and maternal status during labor, and assist with cesarean births as needed
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment for families during childbirth

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery nursing
• Post Partum care
• Mother Baby care
• Fetal monitoring and assessment
• Patient education and support

Requirements

• 2 years current Labor and Delivery experience required
• Post Partum/Mother Baby experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active STABLE certification required
• Perm address must be included with profile
• Traveler must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Available for interview with specific dates and times
