AV Technician

Required Skills & Experience • \tMinimum of 4-5 years of associated audiovisual installation or fabrication experience.\n•\tHigh School Diploma or GED is required.\n•\tMust have a valid driver’s license and adhere to our insurance requirements.\n•\tFamiliarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipment.\n•\tKnowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts.\n•\tPossess basic carpentry and/or installation skills.\n•\tProficient use and safety with power tools.\n•\tGood verbal communication skills and good customer service skills.\n•\tAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Nice to Have Skills & Experience • \tCommercial audio-visual integration or related industry experience preferred.\n•\tAVIXA CTS and other certification is preferred.\n•\tExperience with any of the following client-specific equipment:\n•\tE70 Poly Cameras\n•\tTC10 Touch Panels \n•\tShure ceiling speakers and microphones \n•\tC5 Racks or RFR-2428 Racks Job Description One of Insight Global’s major clients are seeking AV Installation Technicians in Nashville, TN to assist with large ongoing and upcoming projects for some of their local clientele. Selected candidates will be responsible for the cabling and installation of audiovisual systems throughout large corporate buildings and will include spaces such as training and conference rooms, shared workspaces, break rooms, and digital signage among other areas. This position requires periodic overtime and may require regular overtime for extended periods to meet fabrication deadlines. Daily responsibilities include: \n•\tPhysical installation of a wide variety of technology into a wide variety of locations.\n•\tExecute a wide variety of cabling terminations for all wire and connector types and ability to test completed terminations.\n•\tSupport the preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment wire lacing including installation of power strips, grounding bars, jack-fields, etc.\n•\tAble to read and understand functional design drawings as well as cable riser diagrams and all architectural drawings.\n•\tAble to assist in the mounting of base build equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers’ microphones and projectors.\n•\tProvide a consistent level of technical performance as well as flexibility in work schedule. \n•\tAble to complete assignments in accordance with or better than established task durations as well as estimate task durations to meet assigned deadlines. \n•\tProvides daily feedback to Project Manager, or Site Superintendent.\n•\tAble to build and wire custom designs from engineering drawings.\n•\tFiber optic cable handling, installation termination and testing.\n•\tCan print and make minor corrections to cable labels.\n•\tMaintain an organized work environment specifically orderliness and cleanliness of the shop and jobsites.\n•\tResponsible for maintaining their toolkit, company vehicles and installation materials inventories. \n•\tResponsible for maintaining their personal licenses, certifications and qualifications.
