Position Summary:

CORE Builders is looking for a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant supports the financial success of construction projects by managing project billing, draw preparation, subcontractor and vendor invoice processing, payment administration, contract tracking, and project cost documentation. This position serves as a key financial partner to Project Managers, Project Administrators, the Accounting Manager, and CFO, ensuring accurate and timely project accounting activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Billing & Draw Administration

Prepare and administer monthly owner draw packages in accordance with project and contractual requirements.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Administrators, Accounting leadership, and other project stakeholders to collect required billing documentation.

Review and reconcile billing information from Procore, Spectrum, subcontractors, and project teams.

Maintain and update draw workbooks, including G702/G703 schedules and supporting documentation.

Compile complete draw packages consisting of billing applications, subcontractor invoices, vendor invoices, site supervision costs, and supporting backup.

Schedule and participate in draw review meetings with project and executive leadership.

Distribute approved draw packages to project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (Required)In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Required to have minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the construction industry, with project cost accounting (preferred).
• Strong understanding of AIA format billing, lien releases, retention, and project documentation requirements.
• Strong leadership and team organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products

 

Working Conditions:

• This role requires you to be in the office.
• Travel to various job sites, as requested.

 

Anticipated Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for this full-time role is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. CORE Builders reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
