Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/18/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: An RN (Registered Nurse) specializing in Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Cardiology is needed in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing advanced cardiac care, assisting with specialized procedures, and ensuring patient safety during complex interventions. Candidates are required to bring their California RN license on the first day of assignment. The role requires a minimum of three years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization or Interventional Cardiology, with demonstrated expertise in Structural Heart procedures and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). Job Details: Location: San Francisco, California Shift: 12-hour days Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours Required Qualifications: California RN license; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 3+ years of experience in Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology; experience with Structural Heart and TAVR preferred; proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system; experience with Cardiac Stent Placement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Emergency Medications, Protocols for Hypothermia, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) placement/removal, Impella device insertion, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, and interpretative ECGs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, and Recovery Room. Teaching hospital experience is required. Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Additional Information: Candidates must have the ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed. Knowledge of Emergency Medications, Protocols for Infection Prevention, and the use of specialized vascular closure systems is essential. Travel and Orientation: Orientation sessions start at 4:00 pm PST on the Monday prior to start. Timely submittal of references and immunization documentation is required. Submittal Requirements: Two references from the most recent employer. Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccine (with booster if applicable), flu vaccine.
