Production Helper

Job Title: Production Helper Job Description

This role supports warehouse operations by unloading and loading trucks with crates of glass windshields, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and using RF scanners to pick and move inventory accurately and safely. You will work closely with the shipping and receiving team to ensure materials flow efficiently through the distribution warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks carrying full crates of glass windshields in a safe and efficient manner.

• Operate forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and warehouse forklifts, to move materials and products as needed.

• Use RF scanners to pick, scan, and track inventory accurately throughout the warehouse.

• Perform general labor tasks such as packing, packaging, and preparing materials for shipment.

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and staging materials.

• Handle pallets and materials using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.

• Maintain an organized work area and follow established warehouse procedures for material handling and inventory control.

• Support production and distribution activities by moving, loading, and unloading materials as directed.

• Follow all safety guidelines while operating equipment and handling glass windshields and other materials.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

• Experience with material handling in a warehouse or distribution environment.

• Ability to safely load and unload trucks with crates and other materials.

• Ability to use RF scanners for picking and inventory tracking.

• Experience with pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment.

• Background in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.

• Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and handling materials throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification is a strong plus.

• Experience operating reach trucks and warehouse forklifts.

• Previous experience in production, packing, or packaging environments.

• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes and documentation.

• Attention to detail when scanning, picking, and handling inventory.

Work Environment

This position is based in a new distribution warehouse that is clean and well ventilated. The facility is not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work around forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other standard warehouse equipment in a busy, fast-paced setting focused on safe handling of glass windshields and related materials.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.44 - $19.44/hr.
