Job Description

Duties - Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of personnel and other resources in two or more separate organizational segments or groups controlled through one or more levels of supervision. - Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed. - Performs administration responsibilities. Participates with subordinate supervisors/employees in the development of performance plans. - Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Supports the agency's EEO program through participation in community outreach programs and ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials. - Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas. Ensures employees with access to classified information comply with security directives.

• This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
• Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
• The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation.
• Position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
• This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve.(IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
• This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
• The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
• May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
• This is a supervisory position.
• This is a Key position.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WS-WAREHOUSING AND STOCK HANDLING GROUP. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to supervise as an AIR FREIGHT SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
• Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
