Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred

License: Current RN License in good standing

Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS encouraged but not required

Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN required; BSN preferred

Description:


Start date is early July.


On-call required on weekday nights and every third weekend.


We are looking for nurses with a passion for Surgical Nursing and Patient Advocacy.


The OR/CVOR averages 650 cases per month.


Our cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurological, Cardiovascular, Plastics, Ear Nose Throat, Urology, and Gynecological procedures.


We have a dedicated team of patient advocates working in an interdisciplinary team environment.


Technology includes Davinci Surgical Robot, Navigational Spinal and ENT surgery, and Hybrid OR for advanced vascular procedures.


Responsibilities include providing direct patient care for assigned patients and leadership within the nursing team.


Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients.


Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for patients and their families.


Basic computer knowledge is required.


Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively is essential.


Experience with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:


- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Amputations
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
- Total joint replacement


Daily census includes a diverse patient age group: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.


Interdisciplinary support includes various special procedures and advanced equipment.


Travel experience is preferred.


Experience with charting systems is beneficial.


Clinicians must meet all required documentation and licensure in a timely manner.
