HIRING IMMEDIATELY! Small Private Daycare Home – San Francisco, CA (Outer Sunset) Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:15 AM – 5:15 PM (Closing Shift); 30 hrs/per week with opportunity for additional hours if desired Pay: $25-$30/hour (Dependent upon experience & Early Childcare Education units) Benefits: 14+ paid holidays (single days and breaks) ABOUT US: Join a warm, play-based in-home daycare providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers ages 8 weeks to 2 years 9 months. We are a well-experienced daycare and have been proudly serving families in the community for 45 years. We’re looking for a patient, dependable, and playful caregiver who thrives in a team environment and enjoys supporting early childhood development through nurturing, engagement, and fun. We are a small in-home daycare licensed for 6 children total. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Infant/Toddler Care: Provide attentive, loving care and supervision for infants and toddlers Feed children according to developmental stage, including bottle feeding, hand-feeding soft foods, and supervising self-feeding Change diapers and assist with toileting routines as appropriate Assist in daily health and hygiene routines, such as washing children’s hands and faces Create simple art projects with children at least once per week Engage children in age-appropriate play, movement, sensory activities, singing, reading, etc. Spend time playing outdoors daily in our beautiful two-level backyard in San Francisco Outer Sunset weather Communication: Write daily board sheets detailing feeding times, nap durations, activities, and observations Observe and report developmental milestones and behaviors Communicate clearly and warmly with both parents and other staff members Collaborate with other caregivers to ensure consistency and quality of care Organization: Maintain a tidy, organized, and sanitized environment throughout the home Clean spaces as you move through the day with the children (i.e. after outdoor time clean the yard, after lunch clean the kitchen, etc.) Close the daycare at the end of the day by cleaning, organizing, and preparing the space for the next day Arrive to shift punctually each morning and complete all closing duties before shift ends REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS): Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Fluent in spoken and written English At least 1 year of experience working with children under age 3 Able to lift up to 40 pounds and move easily between standing, sitting, and floor positions Must have reliable transportation Strong communication skills and excellent references Patient, playful, and comfortable being silly with very young children Willing to work as part of a close-knit caregiving team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 15 units Early Childhood Education (ECE) 3-6 units Infant/Toddler Care and Development Completion of fingerprinting, TB test, and general health clearance (including required vaccinations) required for onboarding CPR/First Aid certification #J-18808-Ljbffr Grace Infant Care
