Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles and mobile healthcare units, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. In this role, you'll own process engineering across metal fabrication and assembly - troubleshooting at the equipment level, configuring automation and MES/ERP systems, and building the documentation and tooling that make great work repeatable. What you engineer here doesn't sit in a drawer - it runs on the floor and goes out the door on vehicles that serve communities across the country.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Manufacturing Engineer II Look Like?

• Walks the production floor early in the week to assess ongoing issues at fiber lasers, press brakes, and weld cells - then digs into root cause analysis to resolve what's slowing things down.
• Builds and updates work instructions and SOPs so that production personnel have clear, accurate documentation to execute to standard every shift.
• Configures routings, data collection fields, and traceability rules in the MES/ERP system to close gaps in defect capture and process visibility.
• Runs throughput simulations and updates CAD-based digital twins when a cell layout or process flow change is on the table.
• Prepares capital expenditure requests with ROI and NPV analysis - then walks leadership through the business case.
• Partners with quality and production supervisors to investigate non-conformances, document findings, and implement corrective actions that stick.
• Evaluates robotic and automation equipment - sanders, painting systems, AGVs - for programming updates or improvements as production needs evolve.
• Participates in design reviews with engineering and quality teams to ensure new product introductions can be built at scale and to standard.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MES systems and metal fabrication equipment (fiber lasers, punches, press brakes, weld cells, finishing lines).

Compensation

$86,000 - $101,000 annually

Commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
