Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year, serving student populations near Lexington, SC. This role features a school-based schedule of four days per week (Monday or Friday typically off), with total hours capped at 30 each week, balancing impact with personal time. As the SLP, your expertise supports both elementary and high school students across two nearby campuses—empowering learners to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and carry out individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy interventions to address a variety of communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Engage in paid team meetings and dedicated administrative time to ensure quality service delivery
- Alternate your schedule with three days at an elementary site and one day at a high school
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current or eligible SLP licensure in South Carolina
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Eligible for (or successful completion of) background and fingerprinting checks
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
