Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, WWGST Retail Infrastructure Services

The Retail Infrastructure Services team within Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Tech is looking for a passionate and innovative Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to join our team. We have an opportunity to revolutionize the brick-and-mortar grocery shopping experience and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries across the US, Canada, and the UK stores.As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will be a key member of tech initiatives and help drive forward technology solutions working with delivery teams, infrastructure engineers, database engineers, mobile engineers, and deployment program managers to create a best-in-class grocery shopping experience. The candidate must possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues and remove barriers to project success. Being able to stand up cross-functional teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery is a must. The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives, as well as strategic program management. They will be able to apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking. Key initiatives may include rolling out new technology to existing stores, leading engineering efforts to develop and implement creative solutions, spearheading AWS implementation projects, managing POS/SCO image engineering, as well as printer and service scale efforts.- Oversee the deployment of distributed infrastructures.- Excel at written and verbal communication, clearly articulating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.A day in the lifeYou will be working closely with engineers to establish plans for the building and delivery of retail store solutions. About the teamThis team is responsible for leading complex and challenging projects that will deliver innovative infrastructure solutions for point-of-sale (POS), self-checkout (SCO), service scale, mobility, printing solutions, robotics and field AI to our physical stores.Basic qualifications- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedulesPreferred qualification - Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design- 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Experience in retail, operations and/or business managementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
