The company also established its in-house unscripted studio FOX Alternative Entertainment (The Masked Singer, Snake Oil, I Can See Your Voice, Name That Tune), FOX Entertainment Studios (Animal Control) to develop scripted content, and worldwide content sales unit FOX Entertainment Global.JOB DESCRIPTIONFOX Entertainment’s Business & Legal Affairs department is seeking an experienced business and legal affairs executive to support FOX’s network and studio scripted development and production.Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESNegotiate a variety of production and development deals and negotiate and finalize agreements, including all above-the line talent agreements, rights agreements, below-the-line production agreements, and other contracts as necessaryProvide ongoing legal advice on strategic and complex matters around production, clearance, and other issuesAnalyze agreements in response to business questions, and provide information as necessaryManage relationships with agents, lawyers, and studio executives throughout the entertainment industryCreate and maintain departmental resources and actively participate in the establishment of departmental policies for scripted programmingWHAT YOU WILL NEEDActive member of the California bar or Registered In-House Counsel statusExperienced executive with 5+ years of prior entertainment production and/or distribution experienceStrong interpersonal and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsEffective manager of others, adept at supervising, providing feedback, and mentoring other members of the teamEstablished relationships within the entertainment communityExtensive hands-on experience with complex contractsProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to remain composed under pressureWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
