**Certification Requirements:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ALS (Advanced Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced also acceptable) **Skillset Requirements:** - Triage - Circulate - Telemetry - Nursery experience preferred - Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation) - Circulate for C-section - Community Level experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Labor & Delivery - LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) - Starting and maintaining IVs - Sterile vaginal exam - Triage of obstetrical patients - Vaginal Delivery **Minimum Experience Required:** - 1.5 Years **Years of Experience:** - 2 Years of Experience Required **Preferred Experience:** - Experienced LDRP nurse preferred - Charting System Experience preferred (Cerner) - Smaller, critical access experience preferred **Patient Care Details:** - Patient Age Groups: Neonates - Patient Diagnoses: Level 1 nursery, Level 1 OB/delivery **Special Equipment:** - Panda warmers with built-in Neo-puff - Philips fetal monitoring with wireless capability - OB Hemorrhage Cart **Education:** - Traveler's University must be accredited by the ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) at the time of graduation. **Licensure:** - Must be in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. **References:** - 2 supervisor references required **Travel and Floating Requirements:** - Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby. **Local and Residency Policies:** - Local residents are accepted for certain positions but not for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions. - Out-of-state residents require a 3-month/90-day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark. - In-state residents require a 6-month/180-day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler's year mark.
