Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our connectivity organization supporting our connected platforms. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining cloud-native applications that our connected services.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer who enjoys building solutions, writing code, and delivering features in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role will focus primarily on backend development, API development, microservices, and cloud-native applications.


Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native software applications supporting connected services.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices used for integrations with external partners.
• Support and enhance services that enable secure access to connected features.
• Implement new features and enhancements while ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Participate in greenfield development initiatives supporting new charging and connectivity capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production application issues.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies.
• Follow software engineering best practices related to security, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across development processes and application architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly contribute within an established engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-7 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience working with connected vehicle, mobility, IoT, or automotive technologies.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Understanding of full-stack application architecture.
• Experience integrating external systems and APIs.
