Maintenance Manager

Industry leading manufacturing company in the Kenosha-Pleasant Prairie, WI area is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct all equipment maintenance across their high-speed food processing operations. You will lead a team of technicians to maximize reliability, drive preventive maintenance, and strictly enforce food safety standards (SQF/BRC, FDA, OSHA). The ideal candidate brings strong electro-mechanical expertise, continuous improvement experience, and a track record of maintaining regulatory compliance in food or beverage manufacturing. This is a hands-on manager role that requires a strong floor presence.


Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee daily repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM), and root-cause analysis using CMMS software to minimize production downtime.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and GFSI (SQF/BRC) standards, including proper sanitary design and tool accounting.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and schedule a multi-shift maintenance staff while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Budgeting & Inventory: Oversee the department budget, spare parts inventory (MRO), vendor contracts, and capital equipment (CapEx) installation projects.

• Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance, including 3+ years in a leadership role within food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing .
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with PLCs, high-speed packaging lines, automated equipment, utility systems (steam, refrigeration, air), and CMMS software.
• Regulatory Expertise: Deep working knowledge of OSHA regulations (LOTO, Arc Flash) and food safety protocols (GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent hands-on trade credentials.
• Certifications (Preferred): CMRP, CPMM, SQF Practitioner, or HACCP certification.
