Seasonal Tax Preparer Job Description Liberty Tax is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. Responsibilities ~ Prepare Tax Returns: Accurately prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations. ~ Client Consultations: Conduct thorough client consultations to gather necessary information and documents, understand their financial situation, and provide tax advice. ~ Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships with clients who view you as their trusted tax expert. ~ Compliance and Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and participate in continuing education programs to ensure the highest level of professional expertise. Qualifications ~ IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) eligibility is required. ~ Experience: Previous experience in tax preparation is preferred, but not mandatory. ~ Skills: Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally. ~ Education: High school diploma or equivalent; previous completion of a tax school or similar certification in tax preparation is a plus. ~ Personal Traits: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and a genuine desire to help others.
