- # RN / Registered Nurse - Pediatrics Clinic (Per Diem)Applyremote type: Occasional Teleworklocations: Seattle, WAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: REQ-0000133246**Job Description****UW Medical Center-Montlake - Pediatrics Clinic** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Per Diem Registered Nurse**.**WORK SCHEDULE*** Per diem schedule / variable hours per week* Must be available to work day shifts from 8:00am-4:30pm* Must be available to work Monday-Friday; our clinic is closed on weekends and holidays* Must be available to work at least 4 shifts each 4-week period**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**Our **Pediatrics Clinic** provides comprehensive primary and specialty care for babies, children, teenagers, and young adults to age 21. Our services include well-child checkups, developmental screenings, acute illness treatment, school and sports evaluations, environmental health consults, pediatric allergy assessments, guidance on behavioral concerns, and hearing and vision screenings.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Educate patients and their families on ongoing healthcare needs* Assist our providers with routine pediatric assessments* Administer pediatric vaccinations* Handle pediatric phone triage on a daily basis* Provide nursing advice in person, via phone and via telehealth* Answer patient calls and eCare messages* Follow up on medical records and test results* Manage prescriptions and referrals**REQUIREMENTS*** 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience* Active BLS* Active licensure to work as a Registered Nurse in Washington State**ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE**UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
