Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active Ohio or Compact RN License Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - NIHSS Certification Must-Have: - Must be competent with cardiac medications and have knowledge of titration. - Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Must possess critical thinking skills and be able to recognize changes in patient status. - Must have strong communication skills. Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text when applicable. Decisions are typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants seeking more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off may experience a different processing timeline. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The Registered Nurse also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff. Attendance is crucial, and candidates must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts on time. Knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and intervention strategies is required. Candidates must be capable of recognizing changes in patient status and intervening appropriately. Strong communication skills are essential. Local travel guidelines apply, affecting the rate of travel reimbursements for those within a specified distance from the facility.
