The Process Safety Lead plays a critical role in identifying both obvious and subtle process hazards in complex chemical systems, ensuring risks are thoroughly evaluated and effectively mitigated. This requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to balance thoroughness with efficiency when leading structured safety reviews. Success in this role depends on the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and maintain rigor under internal and external audit scrutiny. In addition, this role strengthens the organization's safety culture through training, Root Cause Analysis leadership, and continuous improvement of ESHA systems and workflows. Qualified candidates who are passionate about advancing process safety excellence in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Facilitate multi-disciplinary Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions using Clariant methodologies while effectively managing group dynamics and ensuring consensus-driven outcomes

Document, consolidate, and track PHA findings, recommendations, and action items with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail
Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory safety requirements, maintaining audit-ready documentation and consistency
Train and coach employees and cross-functional teams on PHA methodologies, ensuring effective knowledge transfer across experience levels
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions following incidents, ensuring structured problem-solving and actionable corrective measures
Conduct field verification of corrective actions and ensure timely closure, escalating compliance risks or delays as needed
Design, implement, and continuously improve standardized PHA workflows for project lifecycle integration and scalability
Collaborate with ESHA and operations teams to strengthen process safety systems and support digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives
Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing disciplined execution, proactive hazard identification, and continuous improvement behaviors
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in process safety or chemical manufacturing with strong hazard recognition capability
