Java Developer

Hybrid - 1 day in office (Colorado Only) | Long-Term Contract
Pay: $55-$68/hr DOE

Hire Connections is recruiting on behalf of a Colorado-based organization seeking a skilled Java Developer to help build and enhance enterprise applications, cloud-based solutions, and API integrations.

This is an opportunity to work with modern technologies including Java 21, Spring Boot, AWS, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines while contributing to meaningful projects in a collaborative development environment. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable applications, and working across both backend and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
• Build REST APIs and system integrations.
• Develop solutions using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Support AWS-hosted applications and cloud services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications.
• Follow software development best practices, including testing, documentation, and code quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong professional experience with Java development.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Experience using Git-based source control tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, API Gateway, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience supporting cloud-native applications and deployments.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Additional Information:

• Hybrid Schedule within Colorado.
• Long-term contract opportunity through June 2027.
• Standard Monday-Friday schedule.
• Candidates selected for employment may be required to successfully complete a background screening prior to beginning the assignment.
