Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Hybrid - 3-4 days onsite Overview A high-growth, private equity-backed organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its expanding finance function. This role will take ownership of the payables process in a fast-paced, evolving environment and play a key role in improving systems, workflows, and controls. Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and processing Ensure accuracy of invoices through matching, approvals, and validation against supporting documentation Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve purchasing and payables workflows Process vendor payments and maintain accurate vendor records Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies Assist in strengthening processes and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues Qualifications 3+ years of accounts payable experience Experience in a manufacturing, project-based, or industrial environment preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions NetSuite experience required Exposure to AP automation tools or system implementations preferred Ability to work cross-functionally and operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Additional Notes This is a newly created position driven by company growth and increasing transaction volume Opportunity to contribute to process improvement and scalability within the finance function Role offers exposure to a growing, multi-functional team environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
