Full-time with benefits, but expected to be 30 hours per week***As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:Architect, design, and lay out schematics and PCBs for products and accessories, including low-power/battery, BLE, Wi-Fi, and RFDesign and evaluate battery management and rechargeable battery systems, including battery chemistry, charge/discharge behavior, and safetyDesign DC motor drive circuitry for motion controlAltium Expert: schematic entry, library and component management, AVL/alternate-component strategy, and production data pack creationWork directly with prototype and production PCB/CCA suppliers, and with test/manufacturing technicians to debug and resolve hardware issuesSupport the full product development lifecycle — from early concept and feasibility through EVT/DVT, certification, and sustaining engineering — partnering closely with firmware, mechanical, and industrial design teamsQualifications:Preferred Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's DegreeCandidate must be proficient in Altium 2+ years' experience desiredAltium PCBA design skills, including library/component management and Altium 365Prior experience with firmware/embedded software development (C/C++) sufficient to collaborate closely with firmware engineers on hardware/software integrationSolid knowledge of serial communication protocols including I2C, SPI, SMBus, CAN, and PWMWorking knowledge of FCC wireless standards and debugging techniques, and experience taking consumer products through UL/Demko safety certificationKnowledge of battery chemistries and charge/discharge propertiesKnowledge of DC motor control techniques and circuitsExperience with multiboard, flex, and harness design across a full system (not just a single board)Location: Onsite in Broomfield, COSalary Range: $40 - $50/hrThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experienceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.Compliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
