Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit

Schedule: Nights (PCU Night rotation) Every other weekend requirement (2 shifts)

Assignment Details: Guaranteed hours: 36 hours (for 3x12s)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIHSS
• Clinical skills: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition/management, peripheral line care, basic/non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen via nasal cannula
• EMR: Experience with EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients in a progressive care unit.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize/manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and documentation.
• Implement isolation precautions and use PPE as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 38 hours
• Free parking available
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days; no RTO first week; no new RTO after submission.
• Facial hair must allow proper fit test for any required testing.
• Labs must be completed within 4872 hours of signing.
• Mandatory modules must be completed before the start date.
