Gus's BBQ is more than just great food; it's a neighborhood staple built on southern hospitality, community connection, and an exceptional craft beverage program. As part of Bicos Hospitality—an independently owned, family-operated restaurant group—we are dedicated to making genuine connections with our guests and our team.

Our bar is a high-volume, high-energy focal point of the restaurant. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and mature Bartender who can deliver exceptional service, talk confidently about bourbon and craft beer, and keep the energy high behind the stick.

What You'll Do

• Deliver Thoughtful Hospitality: Welcome guests warmly, cultivate regulars, and create an inclusive, lively atmosphere at the bar.
• Execute with Precision: Craft classic and signature cocktails quickly, efficiently, and accurately to spec, maintaining speed and consistency during peak high-volume hours.
• Demonstrate Product Expertise: Confidently guide guests through our extensive bourbon/whiskey selection, rotating craft beers, wine list, and full food menu.
• Maintain Bar Operations: Keep a meticulous, clean, and organized workspace. Manage opening/closing duties, handle cash and POS transactions accurately, and adhere strictly to all food safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of bartending employment in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant and bar environment.
• Personality: A dynamic, mature, and engaging presence with a hospitality-first mindset.
• Beverage & Culinary IQ: Confident, well-rounded knowledge of craft cocktails, regional craft beers, wine, and food pairings.
• Availability: An open and flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Certifications: Valid Food Handler certification and California ABC Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certification required.
