Job Description:

Title: Outpatient Radiation Oncology RN

Schedule:

Shift options: 5x8s or 4x10s, MondayFriday

8-hour shifts: 07:0015:00 or 14:0022:00

10-hour shifts: 07:0017:00

No weekends, no call, no floating

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years RN experience

Oncology experience required

Radiation oncology experience preferred, but not required

Required certification: BLS

Charting system: Epic required

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient oncology care and symptom management including nausea, fatigue, and pain.

Administer radiation therapy, including external beam therapy and palliative radiation, as needed.

Oversee oral chemotherapy administration and manage opioid therapy.

Perform skin and mucous membrane care, and conduct wound assessments.

Recognize and communicate abnormal lab results and changes in patient status.

Support patients through their outpatient treatment journey.

Pre-start modules: Completion required before start, averaging ~16 hours.
