GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT - MISSION CRITICAL

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead the delivery of complex mission-critical construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. This senior role will provide strategic direction across site operations, ensuring that programme, quality, safety, commercial and client requirements are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a well-organised, collaborative and high-performing site environment, while maintaining a clear focus on operational excellence and uninterrupted project delivery.

Key responsibilities will include overseeing all construction activities, coordinating site management teams, trade contractors and specialist suppliers, and monitoring progress against approved programmes and milestones. You will review construction methodologies, sequencing and logistics plans, identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. The role will involve chairing progress and coordination meetings, resolving technical and operational issues, maintaining accurate project records, and working closely with design, commercial, commissioning and client teams. You will also ensure that all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements and established quality standards.

Applicants should have substantial experience leading large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, healthcare, advanced manufacturing or similarly regulated environments. A strong understanding of commissioning-led delivery, construction safety, quality assurance, logistics and project controls is essential. You will be an assured leader with excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills, capable of managing competing priorities and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Relevant professional or technical qualifications are desirable, together with a proven record of delivering complex projects safely, on schedule and to a high standard. The role may require travel, extended site presence and flexibility to support key project phases, including out-of-hours works where necessary.
