Financial Center Manager

Position Financial Center Manager Summary This position is responsible for managing, directing, and accepting overall accountability for the retail performance of the community bank, including expanding the existing customer base, fostering a strong sales and service culture, and empowering customers to spend life wisely. The role oversees onsite operational compliance and internal controls, ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Responsibilities Demonstrate and promote high ethical standards and behaviors in accordance with the values of First United Build internal and external relationships through exceptional problem resolution, ownership, and follow‑through Promote teamwork, cooperation, and collaboration with other managers to develop consistent sales, service, and operational standards and policies across community banks Serve as the working manager fulfilling the role of Senior Relationship Banker and Relationship Banker as required, while mastering the primary purpose and essential duties of those roles Lead by example and serve as a role model for Tellers and Relationship Banker positions Partner with the Community Bank President to manage and direct implementation of community bank plans, achieving loan generation, deposit growth, and product sales, cross‑selling, relationship development, and retention goals Demonstrate advanced product and sales knowledge of all retail and small business products, including cash management and electronic services Direct sales processes, including cross‑selling behaviors at new account openings, lobby observations, customer profiling, target setting, call preparation, coaching, and managing results Coordinate competitions and campaigns to meet sales goals: communicate weekly sales goals, evaluate progress, establish weekly calling plans, and coach for targeted relationship development results Participate in outbound calling efforts to increase bank relationships and business opportunities Manage hiring of non‑officers in the community bank, assisting with application process, testing, and internal job posting Facilitate onboarding of new community bank employees, including completion of electronic paperwork, opening payroll deposit accounts, initiating technology/log‑in setup, and providing training opportunities Manage employees: training, coaching, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures, including security, compliance, and audit requirements Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings with direct reports Attend periodic HR training and counsel employees regarding HR policies and procedures, such as clocking in/out, vacation time, and dress code; report major issues to the HR department Ensure branch marketing materials (posters, brochures, rate sheets) are current, properly displayed, and supplies are maintained Maintain grounds in safe conditions and reflect professionalism Represent the bank in the community by participating in civic, service, and community organizations, memberships, events, and activities Perform other duties as assigned Additional Duties and Responsibilities Conduct day‑to‑day operations under the direction of the Community Bank President Maximize collaboration between the Financial Center and the designated community bank location Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis Adhere to all First United Policies and Procedures Dress professionally at all times Employee Specifications Education and Work Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field Preferred: One year relevant industry and management experience in banking or retail Technical/Functional Competencies Strong financial and regulatory expertise within the banking industry Strong negotiation, leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to diverse mindsets Strong financial analytical and underwriting skills Ability to manage a wide range of projects and think in complex ways from a higher level, bringing value to management Location Kingsland Equal Opportunity Employer Statement First United is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
