Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Block scheduling may be available; specific scheduling is subject to unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Intermediate Care Unit, including 15 designated Neuro beds, serving adult patients (18 years and older)
• Manage patients with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (COPD), DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV Stepdown, and post-operative conditions
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo systems; chronic ventilator patients managed with Respiratory Therapy support
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and census needs
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN License (verified via NURSYS report required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU setting
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an IMCU or PCU/Stepdown setting
• Experience caring for neurological, cardiac, and trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with chronic ventilator management in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy
