Engineering Manager – Mechanical Focus

Location: Central Kentucky (Must be willing to relocate!)

Compensation: $120,000–$150,000

Relocation Assistance Available

We are partnering with a growing robotics and industrial automation company seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small mechanical engineering team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while developing and mentoring others.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Lead and mentor a small mechanical engineering team
Provide technical direction for custom robotics and automation systems
Oversee mechanical design from concept through build and implementation
Serve as a technical resource for engineers, customers, and internal teams
Review designs, troubleshoot challenges, and improve engineering processes
Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, project management, and leadership
Help maintain project schedules and engineering standards

Minimum Skills & Abilities

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of mechanical engineering experience preferred
Robotics and industrial automation experience required
Previous engineering leadership or team lead experience
Strong custom machine/system design background
Automation integrator experience strongly preferred
SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD experience
Automotive automation experience is a plus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Engineering degree preferred; significant relevant experience will be considered

BS, Mechanical Engineering
