Duties

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to high school and/or college students both online and in person in the following subject areas

English writing and literature

College Essays

History

Social Studies

Foreign Language - high need for Spanish, French, and Italian

ACT/SAT experience preferred

Special consideration will be given to applicants capable of tutoring STEM courses in addition to the above humanities courses

Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
Monitor student progress and provide feedback in session reports to admin, parents/guardians, and teachers
Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum
Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
Reliably commute from client to client

Qualifications

-At least 2 years of high school and/or college tutoring experience

Previous experience working with students, preferably in a high school and/or college setting
Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
