Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and establish appropriate treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement customized evidence-based treatment plans aimed at addressing individual issues related to addiction and mental health challenges.
  • Provide individual, couples, and group counseling sessions using appropriate therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and psychiatric providers, to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s care plan.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to enhance your skills and provide the best possible care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will primarily consist of individuals struggling with addiction and associated mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, requiring cultural sensitivity and an ability to build therapeutic relationships quickly. Your skills will be vital in guiding clients through emotional crises, providing trauma-informed care, and implementing preventative measures against suicidality.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
  • An active and independent LMHC license in Washington state is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with addiction therapy and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • A history of working in a community health or crisis intervention setting is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
