In this role, you'll partner closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, and Operations teams to support some of the most exciting commercial construction projects across California.If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoy seeing the direct impact of your work on project success, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAs a Project Accountant, you'll play a critical role in managing the financial health of our projects from startup through closeout.You'll:Prepare and manage project billings and client invoicesMonitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, and financial reportingTrack accounts receivable and support collections effortsManage purchase orders, subcontract financial documentation, and compliance requirementsCoordinate trade partner invoicing and lien release processesSupport project setup and accounting system administrationPartner with Project Managers to provide accurate financial data and forecastingHelp ensure compliance with contract requirements and accounting standardsAssist with project closeout activities, final billings, and reconciliationsWhat Makes This Role ExcitingWork directly with project teams on high-profile commercial construction projectsGain exposure to every phase of the project lifecycleBuild relationships across Operations, Accounting, Leadership, and Trade PartnersDevelop expertise in project financial management within a growing contractorBe part of a collaborative team that values continuous learning and professional growthWhat We're Looking For3+ years of construction accounting or project accounting experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience managing project budgets, billings, and cost reportingExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple deadlines and projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA proactive, team-first mindset and desire to continuously learnPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience with Vista (Viewpoint), Timberline, GC Pay, or similar construction accounting softwareExperience supporting commercial construction projectsWhy Dome ConstructionFor over 50 years, Dome Construction has built some of California's most innovative commercial projects while maintaining a culture that puts people first.
