divh2Speech And Language Pathologist/h2pTo work with parents, students, and staff in order to prevent, identify, evaluate and remediate a wide range of oral communication problems, including articulation, voice, fluency and language disorders./ppJob duties include consultation, in service training, pre-referral, screenings, referrals, data collection, report writing, IEP development, caseload management, direct remediation, consulting on academic and social issues, documenting progress, collaborating with classroom teachers, and holding annual review meetings./ppEducation requirements include an Illinois Certificate with Speech and Language Pathology endorsement, a Speech Language Pathologist License from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, and a Masters degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology./ppMust work in noisy and crowded environments, indoors or outdoors in a busy school environment, frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions, and may be required to leave main work site to attend meetings. Public contact requiring appropriate business-like apparel.
