The Year‑Round Head Lifeguard supports the CORE Manager, Aquatics Supervisor, and Aquatics Coordinator in ensuring facility safety. This role involves leading a team of lifeguards by setting a strong example, providing leadership, and coaching staff while effectively recognizing and responding to emergencies. The Head Lifeguard is committed to delivering an excellent customer experience, interacting with children and adults to resolve complaints or conflicts and enforcing facility safety rules. Schedule Commitment Maintains a flexible part‑time schedule, which may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position will work year‑round and will be limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. High School Diploma/GED. 2+ years of aquatics‑related experience. Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification is required and provided on‑site. Must be able to complete the following prerequisites to obtain an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard license: 200‑yard swim Retrieve a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the 12 ft. pool (feet first) Tread water for 2 minutes with no hands Experience – Preferred 1+ year of swim lesson experience. CPO or AFO certification. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Facility Operations and Maintenance. Leadership and Team Management skills. Safety and Emergency Response skills. Customer Service and Conflict Resolution skills. Proficiency in handling a variety of administrative tasks such as answering telephone calls, responding to customer questions, and assisting with event setup.
