Training Coordinator Department: Operations Reports to: Plant Manager Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, M‑Th 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM Job Summary The Manufacturing Training Coordinator develops, implements, and manages training programs for manufacturing and warehouse employees, focusing on technical skills and safety procedures. The role ensures employees are adequately trained to perform their jobs safely and efficiently, contributing to overall operational success. The Coordinator handles all phases of the training program from new‑hire preparation through competency and refresher cycles, and serves as an advocate for employee career growth and development. Modified hours may be required. Duties & Responsibilities Organize and manage new‑hire set-up. Coordinate new‑hire training for the first 30 days and incremental training for the first full year. Assess and validate training needs through multiple means, including subject‑matter experts. Develop and administer training programs for staff. Create and maintain a training matrix documenting skill progression for each employee. Research and analyze training functions to assist with material development and establish processes for monitoring and improving the curriculum lifecycle. Certify and re‑certify shop employees (safety training, forklift, bobcat, etc.). Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on job‑related career development programs. Advocate for employee career development through individual career planning. Education & Experience Minimum 4 years’ work experience. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong people skills to give direction and train. Self‑motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Consistent, punctual attendance to set schedule. Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time. Regularly required to move about the facility as needed. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors, etc. Compensation $65 k to $80 k, depending on experience. Employee Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
