You must be willing to obtain a North Carolina real estate license, be 18 years old, and willing to obtain realtor training. North Carolina Requirements Successfully complete an approved 79‑hour pre‑licensing course. Submit application form, completion certificate and $100 fee to the N.C. Real Estate Commission. Register for and pass the North Carolina State Licensing Exam. Pay a $64 examination fee directly to PSI Exams. South Carolina Requirements Successfully complete an approved 60‑hour pre‑licensing course. Complete an additional Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles course (30 hours).
