Senior Software DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.This role will involve developing complex requirements for applications within the Financial Crimes technology domain. The ideal candidate will design, code, test, and debug programs, working closely with business partners to define system application requirements. The position requires utilizing in-depth knowledge of business needs and technology to recommend innovations and support the full development lifecycle in an Agile environment.Responsibilities:Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and/or maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology spaceDesign, code, test, debug, and document programs and support application maintenanceWork closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applicationsContribute to story refinement/defining requirements and estimate work necessary for deliveryPerform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasSet up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelinesHandle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform UpgradesWork with a team of Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followedAnalyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementationEffectively communicate with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelinesRequirements:Typically requires 10 years of applicable experienceBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative disciplineExperience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, and TPTExperience with Informatica 10.x and UNIX Shell scriptingExperience with Autosys, Cloudera CDP, and Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala)Strong data analysis, data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills for large scale AML data assetsExperience with database-intensive development, data migrations, conversions, and SQL performance tuningExperience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and AnsibleStrong knowledge of Unix and development of shell scriptsEffective communication and listening skillsDesired Skills:Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial CrimesPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
