Technical Program Manager

Our client, an autonomous mobility technology organization, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be part of the Program Management Office (PMO) supporting the Ops Tooling & Rider Experience portfolios. The ideal candidate will have strong cross-functional execution, clear stakeholder communication, and the ability to influence without formal authority, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Program Manager, Ops Tooling & Rider Experience

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $77-$82/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Own end-to-end delivery across two portfolios-Ops Tooling & Efficiency and Rider & Vehicle Experience-spanning current and future vehicle software releases and enablement work.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for milestone and executive leadership by synthesizing status across workstreams into a consistent view and clear outlook against company objectives.
• Drive execution directly for workstreams without a dedicated program manager, while partnering with workstream owners where one exists.
• Negotiate scope and sequencing with engineering, manage dependencies on autonomy capabilities, and represent the needs of operations teams as primary customers.
• Surface blockers, dependency gaps, and scope risk immediately, then drive them to resolution or escalation; define and track operational efficiency measures that determine cost and reliability of running the fleet.

What's Needed?

• BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in engineering or program management, with a track record of owning complex technical programs end to end.
• Experience delivering operational or operator-facing tooling at scale (e.g., fleet management, dispatch, remote assistance, logistics, or support systems) where reliability and real-time performance are non-negotiable.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing product, ideally a consumer mobile application, and familiarity with how consumer product teams operate.
• Working familiarity with autonomy, robotics, or another complex safety-critical domain, including the ability to hold credible technical conversations about degraded-mode behavior and system safety constraints.

What's in it for me?

• Portfolio ownership with clear accountability for status, risk, and stakeholder alignment across both operations tooling and rider/vehicle experience.
• The opportunity to reduce human effort required to run missions while improving reliability for the systems operations teams depend on.
• Direct influence on execution by driving workstreams, shaping program structure, and making tradeoffs explicit during quarterly planning.
• Exposure to high-stakes, cross-organizational work spanning engineering, autonomy, and operations teams.
• A role built for continuous process improvement through operational efficiency measures tied to cost and reliability.
