The Opportunity : A small, close-knit team of 6, including the Store Manager. A strong e-commerce customer base across the Boston/Cambridge area, alongside a loyal in-store clientele that has shopped with the brand since the store's opening. A well-established store with a strong local following, now entering its next phase of growth. The store's central challenge is building brand awareness among new customers in the local market. We're looking for someone commercially minded, with strong PR and community instincts. Close, active partnership with the marketing team will be essential to drive traffic and visibility. Role Description : As Store Manager, you will have full accountability for the day-to-day performance of all aspects of store operations. You will be expected to use your initiative to deliver the brand's performance and cultural expectations, manage your stock and your space in order to maximise its sales potential and profitability, and ensure delivery of the brand's visual expectations. You will need to deliver excellent practices in order to maintain an efficient and effective back-of-house operation which supports store performance. You will also be an ambassador for the brand's culture, both in your appearance and behaviour, and will be expected to develop your team to the same high standards. As Store Manager, you will take ownership of your store and accountability for all its operational functions. Key responsibilities are outlined below. Business & Leadership : Deliver store Sales, Payroll and Stock Management KPI targets, and manage all other costs within agreed budgets. Demonstrate and deliver the brand's Customer Service expectations by personally playing an active role on the sales floor through customer engagement and the development of your team. Manage and train staff to adhere to clienteling best practices that build customer loyalty. Effectively utilize the company's CRM platform to maintain a loyal client base and generate sales from clienteling. Develop a high-performing team of brand ambassadors capable of delivering brand values, product knowledge and customer experience at all times. Deliver the brand's visual expectations using all information available. Deliver an excellent back-of-house operation that supports the needs of the store and facilitates optimal trading results, safely and securely. Commercially manage your stock package to achieve the balance between strong sales performance and beautiful visual presentation. Support the implementation of local marketing activity, acting as a professional host for brand events. Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of store performance. Create opportunities for succession through coaching and development. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for the team, with a focus on risk assessment and high standards of housekeeping. Represent the brand's values through your behaviour, and build a team that fully embodies them. Actively pursue your own development and training to continually improve performance. What We're Looking For : Strong experience in store management and clienteling, ideally including experience in New York, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. An open, inclusive management and communication style that supports the development of your team. Excellent customer service skills relevant to a premium, design-led clientele, delivered by example. Strong visual merchandising and display skills, suited to a premium fashion environment. A high level of organization and operational efficiency. Genuine interest in slow fashion, craftsmanship and handmade products. Commercially minded, with strong PR and community instincts, and comfortable partnering closely with marketing to build local brand awareness.
