We are an established, nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm handling significant, complex, and often high-profile matters. Our attorneys represent individuals facing powerful defendants across personal injury, workplace injury, wrongful death, maritime matters, mass tort, product liability, sexual abuse, and complex civil litigation.

This is a true litigation environment. The firm is busy, growing, and accustomed to managing substantial matters that require strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through. Our attorneys actively litigate their cases, and our paralegals are expected to be hands-on contributors rather than simply administrative support.

We are adding a Litigation Paralegal to directly support an associate attorney with a very active docket. The attorney's workload has grown considerably, and we need someone who can step in, take ownership, keep matters moving, and reduce the administrative and litigation burden on the attorney.

Job Details

What you'll be doing:

• Provide direct litigation support to an associate attorney managing an active caseload.
• Manage matters and case details from opening through resolution.
• Handle electronic filing accurately and within required deadlines.
• Track deadlines, court filings, case documents, correspondence, and follow-up items.
• Organize and maintain files so the attorney has immediate access to what is needed.
• Coordinate day-to-day activity across multiple active matters.
• Assist with the full range of paralegal responsibilities required to keep cases progressing.
• Step into legal assistant and administrative responsibilities when necessary.
• Prioritize competing deadlines and shift quickly when case needs change.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties as appropriate.
• Bring structure and organization to a very busy litigation environment.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience working within a law firm environment.
• Strong, hands-on e-filing experience.
• Litigation experience supporting attorneys with active caseloads.
• Strong understanding of court deadlines and the importance of accurate, timely filings.
• Ability to independently organize competing priorities and keep matters moving.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm.
• Willingness to handle both substantive paralegal responsibilities and administrative/legal assistant work when needed.
• Strong sense of urgency, ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience is preferred but not required for someone with strong transferable litigation experience.

Compensation & Location:
Salary: $75,000-85,000 depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
