Description: The position is within the Radiology CT/X-ray department. A radiation badge is preferred but not required at the time of submission. General certification requirements include BLS. Certifications needed are ARRT in Radiography and Computed Tomography. The department has one scanner/room. Staff will not float or cover any other areas. Common imaging types include XR and CT. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is 5-10 CT and 10-20 XR during swing shift. The department utilizes McKesson PACS and Meditech EMR for imaging systems. Department specific equipment includes GE X-ray and Toshiba CT. Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technologist is in place. There are no Registered Radiology Assistants utilized in the department. A radiologist is available in-house until 1700. Starting IVs is not a requirement for this position. Scheduling includes Monday to Friday shifts from 1530 to 2400. There is no weekend or holiday requirement. No call or standby duty is associated with this role. The dress code includes black scrubs, which are not provided. A department specific orientation checklist is available. The healthcare setting is acute care. No BSN is required for this position.
