(USA) Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary What you'll do: Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Operates forklift following Company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing and positioning merchandise pallets. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policy data and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations. Carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties and feedback. Receives stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandizing, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork logs and other documentation. Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, providing guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Maintains safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and correcting and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation according to company policies and procedures by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up, cleaning and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging and delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise, processing defective merchandise according to company and regulatory sanitation and food safety policies, and monitoring the area for shrink, security risks and safety. Ensures club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking club pick‑up orders throughout the day and staging, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures, ensuring merchandising associates pick orders within acceptable timeframes and are staged properly, and performing occasional audits for accuracy. Handles inventory by moving and displaying goods safely and correctly, tracking goods, maintaining in‑stock levels, controlling shrinkage in a timely manner, reporting poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels, and using inventory tools and equipment safely and correctly. Operates and maintains forklifts safely and correctly, reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices, and tells management when forklifts are not in proper working order. Proactively identifies customers who need help, actively engages them, assists them with technology services and items, models and helps others with technology services, identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services and work areas, and takes steps to fix the problem. Properly maintains equipment, ensures products are organized and stocked correctly, and promptly fixes any problems. Hourly Wage Range The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional Compensation Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification. Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks. Must be 18 years of age or older.
