Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at a busy hospital unit. The ideal candidate will have ICU and CVICU experience and be comfortable with various respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators for a diverse patient population.
• Perform ABGs, nitric oxide management, and assist with bronchoscopy procedures.
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings based on patient needs and protocol.
• Assist with intubation procedures and care for patients on HFNC, Nebs, and AIRVO systems.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all treatments and procedures accurately within the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Valid CRT or RRT credential required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, with CVICU experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management, ABG collection, and nitric oxide therapy.
• Strong team player with adaptable and flexible approach, including rotating weekends and on-call duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment across multiple units.
