Position Title: Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: 100 Santa Rosa Street, ste# 120, San Antonio, Texas 78207
Duration: 30-60 days
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with no overtime
Pay rate : $23-25/hr

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist supports organizational compliance by reviewing and monitoring activities within the Programs, Fiscal, and Quality Assurance departments. This position conducts compliance reviews, evaluates documentation and processes, identifies potential deficiencies or risks, and assists with corrective actions. The Specialist helps ensure activities align with applicable federal, state, contractual, and organizational requirements and provides recommendations to strengthen internal controls, accountability, and operational effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review Programs, Fiscal, and QA processes and documentation for compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct periodic internal compliance and quality reviews.
• Identify deficiencies, risks, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Monitor corrective action plans and follow up on outstanding findings.
• Assist with audits, monitoring visits, and external reviews.
• Research applicable regulations, contracts, policies, and program requirements.
• Prepare compliance findings, reports, and recommendations for leadership.
• Maintain documentation related to compliance reviews and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department staff to address compliance issues and improve processes.
• Support consistent application of policies, procedures, and internal controls.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant professional experience in compliance, quality assurance, program monitoring, fiscal oversight, auditing, analysis, policy development, or a related field.
• Experience reviewing documentation, identifying discrepancies or compliance concerns, and making recommendations for corrective action is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, contractual, or organizational compliance requirements is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• An equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education approved by the agency.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Will require occasional in-region and out-of-region travel; Must have proof of valid driver's license and current auto insurance; must provide own transportation when on company business.
• Will be required to be in office on designated location.
