Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel Contract)

Location

Winchester, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13+ weeks (16 weeks preferred) | 3x12-Hour Mid-Shifts (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required | On-call: one 8-hour call shift per 4-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room setting
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR (required)
• Perform clinical assessments and interventions consistent with emergency nursing standards of practice
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled (one 8-hour call shift per 4-week period)
• Adhere to facility dress code, wearing navy blue scrubs per policy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active Virginia RN License or Compact Nursing License required
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• PALS certification (AHA only) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Availability for a 16-week assignment is preferred
• Experience working in a large, high-acuity emergency department environment
