Job Description
Registered Nurse – Endoscopy RN responsible for providing comprehensive patient care within a fast-paced endoscopy environment, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, sedation, recovery, and post-procedure care. The RN will support both inpatient and outpatient endoscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety, proper specimen handling, and adherence to procedural protocols.

This role requires strong endoscopy experience with expertise in conscious sedation, patient monitoring, IV initiation, and procedural assistance. The RN must be comfortable working with advanced gastrointestinal procedures and flexible with late stays as needed for procedures running beyond scheduled hours.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy RN experience required
Experience with Endoscopy, admission, conscious sedation, and recovery REQUIRED
Experience with Colonoscopies and EGDs REQUIRED
Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation required
Experience with specimen handling and labeling required
Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
Experience with opioid analgesics, Versed, and reversal agents required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float within scope as needed

Anorectal Manometries
Paracentesis
pH Studies
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
ERCP
Esophageal varices and banding
Telemetry / dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Provation experience preferred
