We are looking for a dedicated Certified Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one behavioral intervention services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Working under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the CBT implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans to help clients develop social, communication, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy in home, school, or clinic settings to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Collect and record accurate, real-time data on client progress using digital or manual tracking systems during every session.
- Assist clients with developing functional life skills, including self-care, social interaction, and play skills.
- Utilize reinforcement and prompting strategies to encourage positive behaviors and manage maladaptive behaviors safely.
- Prepare and maintain therapeutic materials and a clean, organized environment for client sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding the client’s daily progress and session highlights.
- Participate in regular supervision meetings and clinical team meetings to review data and adjust intervention strategies.
- Maintain strict adherence to ethical guidelines and client confidentiality as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or state-specific Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) credential.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between client locations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain patient and calm in high-stress situations.
- Experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
