Estimator

Harrison Contracting Company (HCC) is seeking an Estimator to join our New Construction team. This role plays an important part in helping HCC identify, price, and secure commercial construction opportunities. The Estimator will review project plans and specifications, prepare accurate and competitive estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate labor and material needs, and work with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and HCC operations teams from the bidding stage through project turnover. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate project estimates. Analyze labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor pricing, production rates, and other project costs. Manage bid deadlines, revisions, addenda, RFIs, and follow-up activities. Prepare proposal scopes, inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, alternates, and pricing. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, project reviews, and project turnover meetings. Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors. Maintain accurate estimating records, bid information, and project documentation. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of construction estimating or comparable construction industry experience. Experience reviewing construction plans and specifications. Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience in commercial painting, specialty contracting, or commercial construction. Experience with digital takeoff, estimating, bid management, or project management software.
