Patient Care Tech (PCT)

Patient Care Tech (PCT) (256917) Summit, New Jersey Salary: USD22 - USD23 per hour Room patients and prepare them for provider visits in a fast-paced outpatient clinic Obtain and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, basic measurements) in the EMR Complete medication reconciliation and review brief medical history/intake questions with patients Update electronic medical records (EMR) with visit information, chief complaint, and relevant patient history Manage patient flow, supporting approximately 15 patients per day (rooming every ~20 minutes) Clean and reset exam rooms between patients following infection control standards Communicate with patients regarding basic visit expectations and updates while maintaining professionalism Coordinate with providers (MDs, NPs, RNs) to ensure efficient clinic workflow and readiness for exams Support standard outpatient clinical operations and maintain organized, timely patient throughput Public - Required Skills - BLS Required - EPIC EMR Experience Public - Preferred Skills - Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in administration of medications and immunizations
• Take and document vital signs including but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, pulse and pulse ox
• Administer and document POCT controls, testing and results as appropriate.
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in an electronic health record, preferably Epic
